Cowling at front of transmission

To remove


1. Raise the car.


2. Place a receptacle under the car to collect fluid spill.

3. Undo the cover's retaining bolts and remove the cowling.


Fitting



1. Clean the sealing surfaces, removing all traces of adhesive and fluid.

2. Apply a thin coating of sealing compound, part number 87 81 841.

3. Fit the cowling in place.

Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 lbf ft)

4. Fill up with automatic transmission fluid to the correct level.
