WINTER shifting program
WINTER shifting program |
With the selector lever in position 3 only 3rd gear will be used.
By means of a spring-loaded switch on the selector lever's console it is possible to change between the WINTER and NORMAL shifting programs.
The switch has two terminals, one for control module pin 15 and the other for grounding point G42. The control module outputs battery voltage (B+) on pin 15. Pressing the button closes the circuit to ground and a changeover between the two shifting programs, WINTER and NORMAL, takes place.
The TCM sends information on the current mode as bus information WINTER, value ON/OFF. In connection with bus information “WINTER ON”, the main instrument unit turns on the WINTER indicator lamp.
