C0241
Read the instructions below then
start the fault diagnostic procedure.
Symptom: TCS OFF lamp on, no TCS function.
Engine Torque Limitation. No or Faulty Signal/Wrong Variant Programmed/Trionic Limphome.
Fault symptoms
TCS OFF lamp on, no TCS function.
Conditions
The Trionic can detect 3 different faults which affect TC/ABS modulation. The Trionic then sends a 96% pulse ratio as an engine torque signal and the TC/ABS function then sets diagnostic trouble code C0241.
The 3 faults are:
•
|
Break/short circuit in the lead for torque limitation.
|
•
|
TC/ABS programmed for wrong engine variant.
|
•
|
Fault in the Trionic's throttle control (Limphome). When this fault occurs the CHECK ENGINE lamp also comes on and the cause of the fault is in the Trionic.
|
Diagnostic help
If the CHECK ENGINE lamp comes on in connection with diagnostic trouble code C0241, the fault is probably in the Trionic's throttle control. Obtain a readout of the diagnostic trouble code in the Trionic and rectify the fault.
If the CHECK ENGINE lamp does not come on, first check to see whether the TC/ABS function is programmed for the right engine variant. If the programming is correct, engine torque limitation can be activated by a command on the diagnostic tool.

Select “Engine torque limitation”

The TC/ABS control module now requests the Trionic for maximum torque limitation.
