To remove

Warning

Read the safety and handling instructions for the Airbag (SRS) before starting work.

See Safety and handling directions .

Important

Make sure the wheels are pointing straight ahead before starting removal.

1. Put the ignition in OFF position.

2. Remove the airbag from the steering wheel, 2 plugs and screws.

3. Lift out the airbag and unplug the connector.

Important

4. Undo the steering wheel centre nut to the last few threads and pull off the steering wheel to that position.

Warning

Never use the steering column adjustment to knock loose the steering wheel, as this will damage the impact joint.

5. Remove the nut and carefully lift off the steering wheel.
