System overview

The suspension elements consist of coil springs and the dampers are of double-acting gas-filled type.

Spring and damper are mounted together on a bracket which is bolted to the wheel housing.

The rear suspension consists of a subframe with upper and lower transverse links and a longitudinal link for each wheel. As a result, the rear wheels are independently sprung. During vertical movements of the suspension the alignment of the wheels varies in a well controlled manner.

The rear suspension also incorporates an anti-roll bar.
