Mount the car in an alignment bench and align if necessary.
|
2.
|
Remove the front wing.
|
3.
|
Cut the front wheel housing reinforcement at the centre impact score.
Note
|
The complete wheel housing reinforcement can be changed but then the outer reinforcing plate must first be removed.
|

4.
|
Drill out the spot-welds.
|
5.
|
Remove the reinforcement.
|
6.
|
Drill out the spot-welds from the damaged part of the wheel housing panel.
|
7.
|
Cut the damaged wheel housing panel at a convenient point.

Mark where the spare part is to be cut and then cut it at the marking.
|
2.
|
Grind clean the surfaces that are to be welded on the spare part and body.
|
3.
|
Apply welding primer to the places that are to be spot or plug welded.
|
4.
|
Fit the spare part in place and fix it with a few welding tongs.
|
5.
|
Spot-weld and plug-weld as well as all-weld the joints.
|
6.
|
Smooth off all the welds.
|
7.
|
Grind clean the surfaces to be welded on the reinforcement and body.
|
8.
|
Apply welding primer to the places that are to be spot or plug welded.
|
9.
|
Position the reinforcement and plug-weld and spot-weld it.
|
11.
|
Smooth off the welds.
|
12.
|
Remove any remaining welding primer. Welding primer reduces adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.
|
13.
|
Apply primer to all bare metal surfaces.
|
14.
|
Apply anti-corrosion agent after painting. Use Terotex HV 400 or Mercasol 1.
