Open the bonnet

Loosen the sound insulation from the left-hand side of the bonnet and pull out the washer hose.

3. |
Disconnect the washer hose at the quick-coupling.
|
4. |
Loosen the clip on the hinge and pull out the washer hose.
|
5. |
Mark the position of the bonnet on the hinge.
|
6. |
Undo the upper mountings in the bonnet of the gas springs (on a ballpin locked with a clip). (2 persons)

7. |
Remove the two lower nuts on each hinge. (2 persons)
|
8. |
Loosen the upper nuts on each hinge a couple of turns. (2 persons)
|
9. |
Remove the bonnet. (2 persons)

Note | ||
When changing the bonnet: Remove the front seal and sound insulation (with a pair of angled flat nose pliers) from the old bonnet and fit them on the new one. Also remove the washer jets, locking pins and safety catches and fit them to the new bonnet. |

Lift the bonnet onto the hinge (2 persons) and tighten the upper nut.

2. |
Tighten the two lower nuts (2 persons).
|
3. |
Fit the upper mountings of the gas springs (2 persons).
|
4. |
Insert the washer hose into the bonnet and connect the quick-coupling.
|
5. |
Fit the clip to the hinge and the sound insulation to the bonnet.
|
6. |
Adjust the position of the bonnet

Longitudinal adjustment |
1. |
Slightly loosen the three nuts and adjust the bonnet backwards or forwards.
|
2. |
Tighten the nuts.
|
3. |
Check the position of the locking pins and adjust them if necessary. See below under “Adjusting the locking pins".

Adjusting the rear height of the bonnet |
1. |
Slightly loosen the three screws and adjust the rear height of the bonnet.
|
2. |
Tighten the screws.

Adjusting the front height of the bonnet |
1. |
Undo the locking pins nuts.
|
2. |
Adjust the position of the locking pins with a screwdriver.
|
3. |
Adjust the rubber buffers correspondingly.
