To remove |
1. |
Open the boot lid.

2. |
Open the hatch in the trim in front of the left-hand rear lamp and unplug the connector to the boot lid wiring harness.

3. |
Remove the grommet hose from the body and unfasten it from the hinge.
|
4. |
Remove the clip securing the gas spring to the ball joint.
|
5. |
Remove the gas spring from the hinge.
|
6. |
Remove the two lower nuts holding the lid to the hinge
|
7. |
Unscrew the two top nuts a few turns.
|
8. |
Carefully lift off the boot lid.

To fit |
1. |
Put the boot lid on its hinges.
|
2. |
Screw on the nuts.
|
3. |
Fit the gas springs to the hinges and fit the clips.
|
4. |
Insert the wiring harness through the grommet hose and attach the hose to the hinge.
|
5. |
Plug in the connector.
|
6. |
Check the fit of the boot lid and adjust if necessary.

Adjusting the boot lid forwards and backwards |
Adjust the boot lid backwards or forwards by loosening the nuts and sliding the lid in the desired direction.
Adjusting the height of the entire boot lid |
Adjust the height of the boot lid by loosening the screws holding the hinges to the body and moving the hinges up or down.
Adjusting the front of the boot lid |

Loosen the front two screws on the hinges.

Loosen the rear retaining screw just enough to allow the front of the hinge to be adjusted upwards or downwards.

3. |
Then tighten the front screw and check fit and function.
|
4. |
Tighten the remaining screws.

Adjusting the rear of the boot lid |
The position of the rear of the boot lid when it is closed is determined by the two rubber buffers mounted on it.

Adjust the buffers by screwing them in or out.
