To remove |
1. |
Remove the door trim. See Adjustment/replacement in the Interior equipment section.

Remove the water separator.
|
3. |
Lower the window lift so that the mounting is visible at the top of the lower large hole. The clips on the rollers are then easily accessible.

4. |
Detach the scissor-lift braces from the window mounting by removing the clips and then prising loose the braces from the rollers with a large flat head screwdriver. Prise between the brace and the rail and close to the ball so the rail is not deformed.

5. |
Secure the window to the window frame with 2 strips of tape.
|
6. |
Knock out the steel cores in the blind rivets.
|
7. |
Drill out the heads of the blind rivets (4 pcs) and then knock out the rivets from the door panel.

8. |
Unplug the connector
|
9. |
Unscrew the scissors-lift guide rail, 2 screws.
|
10. |
Lift out the window lift assembly.

To fit |
1. |
Remove the blind rivets in the old window lift if it is to be refitted.
|
2. |
Lift the window lift assembly into the door.
|
3. |
Plug in the connector.
|
4. |
Fit the scissors-lift guide rail loosely so that it can be adjusted if necessary.

5. |
Hang the window lift on the door panel with the hook.
|
6. |
Blind-rivet on the window lift.
|
7. |
Remove the tape and lower the window.
|
8. |
Inspect the rollers for damage and fit the clips.
|
9. |
Grease the rollers and sliding surfaces and press on the braces to the window mounting rollers.
|
10. |
Adjust the window.
|
11. |
Fit the water separator.
|
12. |
Refit the cover and door trim.

Adjustment |
1. |
Remove the door trim.
|
2. |
Loosen the nuts on the guide rail.
|
3. |
Push the window backwards and tighten the nuts.
|
4. |
Check the function of the window so that it slides freely up and down.
