Place the car on a lift.

Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system, see
.

3. |
Detach the inlet hose with mass air flow sensor, without unplugging the connector, and place it on one side.
|

Remove the heat shield from the exhaust manifold.
|
5. |
Remove and move away the by-pass pipe including the valve.
|
7. |
Remove the fan cowling.
|
8. |
Disconnect and fold away the pressure hose from the turbo.
|
9. |
Detach the high-pressure hose from the compressor and plug the openings.
|
10. |
Detach the pipe from the receiver and plug the openings.
|
11. |
Loosen the pipe from the holder on the subframe and remove it.

To fit |
1. |
Position the high-pressure hose in the engine compartment.
|
2. |
Remove the plugs and lubricate the O-rings on the receiver connection.
|
3. |
Press in the high-pressure pipe to the holder on the subframe.
|
4. |
Screw on the PAD connection to the receiver.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm (5.9 lbf ft) |
5. |
Remove the plugs and lubricate the O-ring on the compressor connection.

6. |
Adjust the oil volume in the compressor, see
.
Press on the PAD connection to the compressor and tighten. Tightening torque: 20 Nm (14.8 lbf ft) |
7. |
Connect the pressure hose to the turbo.

9. |
Mount the by-pass pipe including the valve.
|
10. |
Fit the heat shield to the manifold.
|
11. |
Fit the inlet hose and mass air flow sensor.
|
12. |
Vacuum pump the A/C system and fill with R134a refrigerant, see
.
