Expansion valve
| Expansion valve | 
| 1. | Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system, see  . | |
| 2. | Detach the A/C pipes from the expansion valve, 1 bolt in centre of valve. Plug the openings and move the pipes to one side. | |
| 3. | Remove the expansion valve, 2 countersunk hexagonal socket screws.   | |

| Be careful not to contaminate the new expansion valve. | ||
| 1. | Lubricate the O-rings with synthetic vaseline. Fit the O-rings on the pipes leading from the evaporator. | |
| 2. | Press the expansion valve onto the A/C pipes and tighten. Tightening torque: 5 Nm (3.7 lbf ft) | |
| 3. | Remove the plugs and lubricate the O-rings on the pipes from the compressor and condenser respectively. | |
| 4. | Press on the A/C pipes to the expansion valve.   | |
| 5. | Locate the pipe holder (washer) against the valve and tighten. Tightening torque: 8 Nm (5.9 lbf ft) | |
| 6. | Vacuum pump the A/C system and fill with R134a refrigerant, see  . | |
