Identify the type of plastic. See

Select the correct welding filler and set the temperature of the welding gun so that it agrees with the type of plastic. See

3.
|
Tack the guide pin in place by heating it with the welding gun. Check its position.
|
|
4.
|
Cut the end of the welding rod to a point.
|
|
5.
|
Weld the guide pin in place. Check the stamp on the direction indicator housing and refer to the welding rod table to ensure you choose the correct welding filler.

|
6.
|
Allow the weld to cool.
|
|
7.
|
Grind the weld if required.
|
