Undo the expansion tank filler cap.

Raise the car.
|
3. |
Remove the left-hand front wheel.
|
4. |
Remove the left-hand front wing liner.
|
5. |
Remove the splash guard.
|
6. |
Remove the fog lights, if fitted.
|
7. |
Undo the hose clips on the exhaust pipe and intake hose.
|
8. |
Bend the exhaust pipe and intake hose aside.
|
9. |
Unplug the connector and tape it over to keep dirt, etc. out.
|
10. |
Remove the bolts from the side of the bracket/holder.
|
11. |
Push the heater up and unhook the holder from the bracket.
|
12. |
Pinch off the heater's coolant hoses, using two pairs of pliers 30 07 739.

13. |
Detach the coolant hose from the pump outlet (to heater).
|
14. |
Unplug the water pump connector.
|
15. |
Remove the bolt holding the water pump in place.
|
16. |
Detach the coolant hose from the pump inlet.
|
Installation |
1. |
Spray the connector with Kontakt 61 and plug it into the water pump.
|
2. |
Fit the coolant hoses.
|
3. |
Fit the water pump.
|
4. |
Connect the coolant hose to the pump outlet (from heater).
|
5. |
Remove the pinch-off pliers.
|
6. |
Plug in the connector.
|
7. |
Fit the bolts on the side of the bracket.
|
8. |
Fit the exhaust pipe and intake hose.
|
9. |
Refit the fog lights, if any.
|
10. |
Refit the splash guard.
|
11. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
12. |
Fill up with coolant. Close the filler cap.
|
13. |
Start the engine, activate the heater and warm it up.
|
14. |
Check the coolant level and coolant freezing point. Top up as necessary.
