On-Board Diagnostics
Type of diagnosis:
-
Continuous. But interrupted when fault criteria fulfilled and will not restart until next driving cycle.
Enable criteria:
-
General conditions for this trouble code: When starting the engine, the atmospheric pressure must exceed 78 kPa and the engine coolant and intake air temperatures must exceed -7°C.
-
Crankshaft stationary, even after ignition OFF. Car stationary. The other two absolute pressure sensors deviate less than 10 kPa from each other.
Fault criteria:
-
Sensor value deviates more than 15 kPa from atmosphere absolute pressure sensor.
Dependents:
System reaction to a fault:
-
Density compensation of the throttle angle is blocked.
OK report:
-
Fault criteria for P1106, P1107 or P1108 not fulfilled.
Fault handling:
(See “Fault diagnosis, general” for more information.)
Diagnostic help
Fault diagnosis concerns sensor fault.
Functions in the diagnostic tool related to the fault:
•
Pressure sensor value, unit kPa.
With the engine stationary, the value should correspond with the two other pressure sensors. Accepted difference is 10 kPa.
