Rheostat level
Rheostat level |
General |
The SID is connected to the rheostat and controls the button lighting in the SID. It is also used to calculate the display lighting level.
The buttons are illuminated by 2 bulbs and the display by 4 bulbs, all easily accessible from the rear of the SID unit.
When the main lights switch is ON, bus information is sent: RHEOSTAT LEVEL, unit %. The information is used by the ACC, Audio, DICE and MIU to regulate the button and instrument lighting.
Rheostat level 0% is sent if:
• |
The main lights switch is OFF and fuse 35 for the daylight driving lights is removed.
|
• |
The interior light exceeds a certain level.
|
The information is used by the ACC, Audio, DICE and MIU which then extinguishes the button and instrument lighting.
