| Background |
On certain cars, the starter motor must be engaged for a long time before the engine starts, and some cars can be felt to be uncomfortable during starting. After customer complaint the procedure in this Service Information can be carried out.

| Diagnostic procedure |
When changing the spark plugs during a service, type BCPR6ES must be used. This will shorten the starting time and improve comfort while starting.
