Unplug the level sensor electrical connector and put the main fuse box to one side.

Empty the brake fluid reservoir, using the brake system bleeder unit (part No. 88 19 096).

Place some paper or a cloth under the master cylinder.
|

(Manual gearbox):
Detach the hose to the clutch.
|

| 5. |
Fit the filler cap back on the reservoir and pull the reservoir straight up.

(Manual gearbox):
When changing the brake fluid reservoir, and if the car has a manual gearbox, cut off the top of the reservoir hose connection.

Press the reservoir into the master cylinder.
|
|
| 3. |
(Manual gearbox):
Connect the hose to the clutch.
|
|
| 4. |
Remove the paper.
|
|
| 5. |
Plug in the level sensor's connector and return the main fuse box to its original position.

| 6. |
Fill up with brake fluid.
|
|
| 7. |
Check the system for leakage.
