Fixed brake caliper, rear wheel, changing

Raise the car and remove the wheel.
|

|
Depress the brake pedal slightly, using a brake pedal clamp.
Remove fuse No. 1 for the brake lights.

|
Undo the brake line connection from the brake caliper. Plug the lines and brake caliper.

|
Remove the two brake caliper retaining bolts and lift away the brake caliper.
|

Fit the brake caliper, apply Loctite 242 to its two retaining bolts and tighten them, using a torque wrench.
Tightening torque 80 Nm (59 lbf ft)

2.
|
Remove the plugs and connect the brake lines.
Tightening torque 16 Nm (12 lbf ft)
|
4.
|
Lower the car slightly, remove the brake pedal clamp and put the fuse back in its holder.
|

Fit the rear wheels, see

aluminium wheel 110 Nm (81 lbf ft)
steel wheel 50 Nm +2x90°, max. 110 Nm (37 lbf ft +2x90°, max. 81 lbf ft)

|
Lower the car to the floor and depress the brake pedal to force out the brake pistons.
|
8.
|
Check the brake fluid level and top up as necessary.
