ABS warning lamp
ABS warning lamp |
Should a fault arise in any of the TC/ABS control unit inputs or outputs, or if the power supply (+15 circuit) is absent, the control unit will ground pin 21. The warning lamps for ABS and brakes will then light up in the main instrument unit as well as the central warning lamp. The lamp lights up when the ignition is switched on and if no fault is detected it will go out after 3-5 seconds. If a fault arises while the car is being driven, the lamp will come on and the TCS and ABS functions will be disabled.
Pin 20 will be grounded at the same time as the ABS control unit lights the warning lamps for ABS and brakes as well as the central warning lamp. This will cause the TCS OFF lamp to come on.
Diagnostics
The 31-pin connector has a short-circuiting jumper that grounds pins 20 and 21 when the connector has been unplugged from the control module. This will turn on the ABS, brake fluid and central warning lamps together with the TCS OFF lamp.No diagnostic trouble code is set for a fault in the warning lamps.
