Body repairs

Work on cars equipped with airbag

All the Saab 9-5 model cars are fitted with an airbag system. Note the following when carrying out repairs on the bodywork:

•

Read the section "Safety and handling instructions" in group 8 “ Airbag ” before commencing.

•

For work where the body may be subjected to bumps or blows, unplug the connection for the airbag system control module.

•

When welding, remove and cover the battery negative lead.

•

The screw hole for the control module and grounding points must be masked during painting to protect the ground connection.
