Lock motor, passenger door

Lock motor, passenger door

Note

The following description applies to left-hand drive cars.

The lock motor in the passenger door has an integrated electric motor which is connected from pin 3 to pin 69 on the TWICE control module.

A microswitch is connected to the electric motor through a cam, which regulates the position of the microswitch in the lock motor. The microswitch is connected from pins 4 and 5 to the TWICE control module on pins 66 and 22.

1. When the car is not locked, the microswitch is in position pin 5. When the electric motor is supplied with current from pin 22 on the TWICE control module and the central locking system is locked, the microswitch position is changed by the movement of the electric motor to pin 4.

2. To unlock the car, the electric motor receives current from pin 69 on the TWICE control module and the motion of the electric motor changes the position of the microswitch from pin 4 to pin 5.

3. Before activating TSL, the microswitch is in position pin 4. When the electric motor is supplied with current from pin 66 on the TWICE control module and the central locking system activates TSL, the motor changes the position of the microswitch to pin 5. At the same time, pin 5 on the microswitch is supplied with current from pin 22 on the TWICE control module to ensure that the electric motor reaches its end position.

4. To inactivate TSL, the electric motor is supplied with a current from pin 69 on the TWICE control module and changes the position of the microswitch from pin 5 to pin 4. The electric motor is then supplied with another voltage pulse from pin 69 and changes the position of the microswitch from pin 4 to pin 5.
