Fresh-air filter
The filter is located in the heating and ventilation unit, ahead of the evaporator. The fibres in the filter catch large particles, but to catch even the smallest particles, the filter is electrostatically charged. This electrostatic charge means that the filter attracts particles, in a similar way that a magnet attracts iron filings.
In addition to removing all particles that are visible to the eye, the filter removes particles such as pollen, spores and dust.
Active charcoal filter
An active charcoal filter is available as an option and is fitted after (in the direction of flow) the standard air filter. The active charcoal filter removes diesel exhaust fumes and suchlike. The active charcoal filter can be fitted as an accessory.
