start the fault diagnostic procedure.
Symptom: Open-circuit/short-circuit to B+ gives the following symptoms:
no seat heating
indicator lamp does not light.
Open-circuit/short-circuit to ground gives the following symptoms:
seat heater permanently on, irrespective of ignition key position
indicator lamp on permanently
battery discharges.
Rear Seat Heating Relay. Short to B+
Rear Seat Heating Relay. Open Circuit / Short to Ground

Conditions
No diagnostic trouble code is generated for voltages below 11V or during diagnostic communication.
