Engine oil and oil filter

Check for oil leakage

Check that no oil leakage occurs at the top or bottom of the engine and gearbox or in the power steering's hydraulic system.

If there is an oil leak on the auxiliary side of the engine, it is recommended that the drive belt is inspected and replaced if necessary.

Engine oil

Change the oil. Fill with oil to the MAX mark on the dipstick. The distance between the MAX and MIN marks corresponds to 1 litre (1.05 qts).

The level should be checked while the engine is warm, 2-5 minutes after the engine has been switched off.

Oil filter

1. Loosen the oil filter with the filter wrench and unscrew it. Clean the sealing surface on the engine.

2. Oil in the new oil filter's rubber gasket and fit it in place. Tighten the filter by hand.

3. Start the engine and check the filter for leaks.
