If the pattern of wear is uneven or abnormal, check the wheel alignment and adjust with 4-wheel alignment equipment as described in the "Wheel alignment" section of Service Manual 6:1 "Front assembly and steering".
The tyres have so-called wear indicators, which means that when 1.6 mm is remaining of the tread, transverse strips will appear without tread. The tyres must then be changed.
Make sure you are familiar with the national regulations on tread depth.
