Symptom: CHECK ENGINE comes on after two driving cycles.
Limited torque.
Knock Sensor Circuit. Low Input, Bank 1.

Conditions
The following conditions apply for this DTC:
•
|
Engine running and engine speed exceeds 800 rpm.
|
•
|
Engine coolant temperature exceeds 60 °C.
|
•
|
Main relay voltage exceeds 11 V.
|
•
|
Knock voltage below 0.25 V on sparking for 25 ignitions.
|

The knock sensor is an internal ignition discharge module function. There is no external sensor.

Check the wiring
Note
|
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at various points and in different directions to detect any intermittent breaks or short circuits in the wiring. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
