Fuel shut-off


If any of the following criteria are fulfilled, fuel shut-off will take place:


• no power supply (+15 circuit)

• fully depressed accelerator pedal during starter motor cranking

• Engine speed above 6200 rpm.

• air mass/combustion exceeds 1100 mg/c

• engine torque 30 Nm above maximum permissible at present rpm

• immobilizer code faulty

• throttle turned by hand when engine running

• serious fault in throttle valve control

• a pedal position fault if engine speed exceeds 2200 rpm

• ignition discharge module not powered

• engine speed above 1800 rpm and accelerator pedal fully released, coolant temperature exceeding 20°C. On manual gearboxes, this applies to 3rd, 4th and 5th gears. On cars with automatic transmission this applies to 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. Fuel injection is activated again at 1400 rpm.


Diagnostics

If TWICE does not send out ”Immobilizer OFF” after the ignition has been switched on or if the Trionic T7, TWICE or MIU control modules are replaced and the immobilization code is not programmed in TWICE, diagnostic trouble code P1460 will be generated and the engine cannot be started.
