Reduce fuel pressure by removing fuel pump fuse no. 19 while the engine is idling. Turn off the ignition once the engine has stopped and replace the fuse.

Remove the engine cover.

3. |
Detach the return line from the fuel rail.
|
4. |
Connect the adapter and hose, tool 83 93 183, to the return of the fuel rail. Place the hose end into a collecting vessel.

Run the fuel pump with the diagnostic tool for 30 seconds. While the pump runs for 30 seconds it should supply at least 700 ml fuel to the collecting vessel.

6. |
Remove the gauge.
|
7. |
Take care of any excess fuel.
|
8. |
Connect and tighten the return line to the fuel rail.
|
9. |
Fit the engine cover.
