Diagnostic help

Drive the car and activate the cruise control while using the diagnostic tool to check the conditions for cruise control at the same time. Start fault diagnosis on the condition that cannot be met.

The diagnostic tool menu also contains a group of test readings called ”REASON CC WAS SWITCHED OFF”. The readings are from the last time the cruise control was operative and show the cause of it being turned off. The readings are stored as long as the control module is supplied with current, which make them suitable for diagnosing intermittent faults.

Check the wiring

Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at various points and in different directions to detect any intermittent breaks or short circuits in the wiring. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
