Fuel shut-off


Fuel shut-off will take place if any of the following criteria are fulfilled:


• +15 supply missing

• fully depressed accelerator pedal during starter motor cranking

• engine speed above 6200 rpm.

• air mass/combustion exceeds 1100 mg/c

• engine torque 30 Nm above maximum permissible for current engine speed

• immobilizer code incorrect

• throttle rotated manually while engine running

• major fault in throttle control

• in case of a pedal position sensor fault if engine speed exceeds 2200 rpm

• ignition discharge module not powered

• engine speed exceeds 1800 rpm and accelerator pedal fully released while engine coolant temperature exceeds 20°C. On manual gearboxes, this applies to 3rd, 4th and 5th gears. On car with automatic transmission, this applies to 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. Injection will be reactivated at 1400 rpm.


Diagnostics

If TWICE fails to send ”Immobilizer OFF” when the ignition is turned on or if the Trionic T7, TWICE or MIU control modules have been replaced and the immobilizer code has not been programmed in TWICE, diagnostic trouble code P1460 will be generated and the engine will not start.
