Horn

Horn

Two horns of the trumpet type are located behind the grille under the radiator crossmember. The horn button is located in the centre of the steering wheel.

The horns are tuned to different frequencies. The horn marked H is high frequency and the horn marked L low frequency.

When the horn button (336b) is connected to pin 9 and pin 22 on SID. When the button is pressed, SID grounds pin 11 and the relay (68) closes. Voltage +30 is fed from fuse 3 through the relay (68) to the two horns (40).

The horn is also used to acknowledge TSL locking of the car (Thief Security Locking). The SID unit activates the horn in response to information via the bus from TWICE.
