Electromagnetic clutch, compressor

1.

Place the car on a lift.
|
2.
|
Relieve the tension on the multigroove V-belt by compressing and locking the belt tensioner with a 3 mm Allen key.

3.
|
Unplug the connector to the compressor located behind the right-hand headlamp.
|
4.
|
Unscrew the compressor's ground cable and securing plate from the compressor housing.
|
5.
|
Lift up the car and remove the front right wheel.
|
6.
|
Remove the right-hand cover. Undo the front end of the wing liner and hold it to one side.
|
7.
|
Remove the multigroove V-belt from the compressor.
|
8.
|
Remove the electromagnetic clutch.
Note
|
If the electromagnetic clutch sticks, tap it with a plastic hammer until it becomes loose.
|
|

|
Fit the electromagnetic clutch.
Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.3 lbf ft)
|
2.
|
Check the clearance between the drive flange and the belt pulley with a feeler gauge.
The clearance should be 0.5 ± 0.15 mm.
If necessary, adjust the clearance by changing the shims on the compressor shaft.

3.
|
Mount the multigroove V-belt on the belt pulley and release the belt tensioner.
Check that the multigroove V-belt is located correctly.
|
4.
|
Fit the front end of the wing liner and the right-hand cover.
|
5.
|
Fit the right front wheel. Lower the car.
|
6.
|
Connect the compressor ground cable and securing plate to the compressor housing.
|
7.
|
Plug in the connector to the compressor lead behind the right-hand headlamp.
