MCC is a system for manual climate control. The MCC unit consists of a panel with four knobs: two for temperature, one for air distribution and one for fan speed. The electrically heated rear window, air recirculation and A/C (if fitted) are controlled with push-buttons.
The following functions can be controlled manually from the panel:
Temperature, separate for passengers and driver
The control module feeds current to a stepping motor which turns the mixed-air flap for the driver's zone. Another stepping motor turns the mixed-air flap for the front seat passenger zone, and through a link arm, also the mixed-air flap for the rear seat passengers. The mixed-air flap mixes cold air that has passed the evaporator, with warm air that has passed both the evaporator and the heat exchanger. The link to the rear seat passengers mixed-air flap adheres to the temperature for the front seat passenger.Certain engine types are equipped with a circulation pump to improve the flow of coolant through the heat exchanger. The pump is supplied with +54 current and therefore runs continuously while the car is being driven.
