  When driving in exceptionally dusty or polluted environmental conditions, or in the case of susceptibility to allergic disorders, changing the filter element at more frequent intervals is recommended.
| • | Remove the glove box. | |
| • | Remove the cover to the heating and ventilation unit, taking care not to damage the lead connected to the antifrost thermostat | |
| • | Remove the filter On cars with older type of filter: Remove the filter retainer as well | |
| • | Make sure there is a seal in the upper part of the filter space. If the seal is absent: Adhere a seal on top of the filter. Pay attention to the reference (arrows indicate direction of airflow) showing which way round to fit the filter. | |
| • | On cars with retrofitted A/C unit: Break off both plastic lugs on top of the filter | |
| • | Fit the filter according to the instructions on the top of the filter | |
| • | When fitting, make sure that the cover closes tightly to prevent condensate leakage. | |
| • | Fit the glove box | |
