Bypass valve, oil filter

To remove


1. Raise the car and drain the engine oil.


2. Remove the cover.

3. Cut threads, using an M10 (step 3) screw tap, in the end plate. Screw in an M10 bolt and pull out the bypass valve.

Important

Make sure that no metal cuttings are left inside.



To fit



1. Oil the bypass valve and tap it home. Use a ΓΈ 15 mm drift.

2. Fit the cover with a new seal.

3. Lower the car and fill up with motor oil.

4. Start the engine and check for leakage.
