Rear silencer

To remove


1. Raise the car.


2. Mark the underside of the exhaust pipe 95 mm from the joint where it is welded to the rear silencer.

3. Cut the exhaust pipe at right angles.

4. Remove the silencer.

5. Clean the cut to remove burrs and dirt.


To fit



1. Fit the new silencer and adjust it so that it hangs straight.

2. Check that the end pipe lies in the centre of the cut-out in the bumper and matches the bumper profile.

3. Tighten the nuts on the clamps.


Tightening torque: 70 Nm (51.6 lbf ft).
