If the car is equipped with a radio other than a genuine Saab radio, check that the customer has the radio code before commencing work. |

|
Disconnect the negative battery cable. |

Remove the cover on the LH A-pillar.
|
|
| 2. |
Lower the headlining.
|
|
| 3. |
Remove:
|
|
| • |
cover on LH front side trim
|
| • |
LH front side trim
|
| • |
front seats
|
| • |
glove box and RH front side trim
|
| • |
B-pillar covers
|
| • |
centre panel and floor console
|
| • |
rear seat with backrest, lift up carpets
|
| • |
panels in luggage compartment
|
| • |
LH side bolster
|
| • |
trim on LH D-pillar
|
| • |
load sill
|
| 4. |
Lower the fuel tank a bit.

| 5. |
Mark all the connectors accurately
before unplugging them from their respective components.
|
|
| 6. |
Disconnect the cables on the grounding points.
|
|
| 7. |
Unplug the connectors to the other wiring harnesses.
|
|
| 8. |
Carefully remove the wiring harness without damaging cable ties, etc., that are to be refitted.

| 9. |
Lay out the new wiring harness the same as the old one and secure it in the same way. Make sure all grommets are sealing tight.

| 10. |
Plug in the connectors to their respective components. If in doubt refer to wiring diagrams/component lists for the respective system.

|
| 11. |
Plug in the connectors.
|
|
| 12. |
Connect the ground cables.
|
|
| 13. |
Refit all dismantled parts.
|
|
| 14. |
Connect the negative battery cable. Set the clock.

|
Secure the wiring harness to prevent the risk of chafing and rattling. |

|
Check all rubber seals to minimize the risk of leakage. |
||

|
Spray all the connectors with “Kontakt 61” to prevent copper rust from forming. Clean all the grounding points and apply them with Vaseline. |
