Valve housing

To remove


1. Remove the valve housing cover. see .


2. Unplug the solenoids' connectors.

3. Remove the nine bolts securing the valve housing.

Note

Start with the two retaining bolts at bottom left which secure the cover for the fluid passages, saving the two top retaining bolts until last. The bolts are of 3 different lengths.


Important

The passages are filled with transmission fluid.


5. Carefully detach the manual valve from the selector lever out of the retaining eye and carefully lift out the valve housing.

Note

Make sure that the two O-rings fitted inside the valve housing do not fall out.



Fitting


1. Lift the valve housing into position.


Note

Carefully move the selector lever's arm into place and fit the valve housing on the transmission.


2. Fit the nine valve housing retaining bolts and tighten them.

Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 lbf ft).

Note

The bolts are 3 different lengths.


3. Plug in the solenoids' connectors.

4. Fit the valve housing cover, see .
