       | 1. | Remove the steering column cowls. 
 
   
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 2. | Remove the direction indicator stalk switch. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 3. | Work the dust excluder (gaiter) over the steering wheel adjustment lever so that the lever comes out through the same hole as the steering column shaft. 
 
   
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 4. | Set the locking lever in the locked position. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 5. | Slacken the locking bolt slightly. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 6. | Set the locking lever in line with the steering column shaft. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 7. | Tighten the locking bolt. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 8. | Lift the dust excluder (gaiter) over the steering wheel adjustment lever so that the lever protrudes from its hole in the excluder.

       | 9. | Refit the direction indicator stalk switch. 
 
 | 
     
    
   
   
    
     
      
       | 10. | Fit the steering column cowls.
