Boot lid hinges, 4D

To remove


This method describes the left-hand hinge.


1. Protect the rear wing with a cover and then place a support under the boot lid.

2. Remove the clip securing the upper gas spring mounting and remove the gas spring from its mounting.

3. Remove the two nuts on the boot lid.

4. Detach the grommet hose from the hinge.


5. Remove the screws securing the hinge to the body

6. Lift off the hinge.

Important

Make sure the boot lid does not slide down as this will damage the other hinge.



To fit


1. Position the hinge correctly.


2. Screw on the hinge to the body.

3. Fasten the grommet hose to the hinge.

4. Screw on the nuts on the boot lid.


5. Fit the gas spring.

6. Remove the support and protective cover.

7. Check the fit of the boot lid and adjust as necessary.
