Heating pad, backrest

Changing

Remove the backrest upholstery, see Upholstery, backrest .

There is no need to remove the head restraint or any connectors for the backrest adjustment.

Note
Wear gloves when working with benzine.

Detach the heating pad from the seat cushion using benzine.

Be careful to ensure that large pieces of padding do not come away.

Unplug the connector for the seat heating and cut the cable ties.

Wipe the foam cushion before fitting the new heating pad.

Pull of the protective backing from the new heating pad.

Position the new heating pad on the seat cushion and press it in place.

Ensure that the wiring harness is positioned correctly.

Secure the cable with cable ties.

Plug in the connector for the seat heating.
