Raise the car and remove the lower engine cover and the drive belt cover.

Unplug the oil pressure sensor connector.
|
3. |
Place a receptacle under the engine and remove the oil pressure sensor.

Fit
87 91 600 Pressure testing equipment
and connect a pressure gauge. Check the connection and make sure it is not resting against sharp or hot components.

Lower the car, start the engine and read off the oil pressure, see
Lubricating system
.

Turn off the engine after taking the reading and raise the car.
|
7. |
Check that the pressure gauge shows 0 bar before detaching it from the adapter. Place a receptacle under the engine and remove the pressure gauge and adapter. Wipe off any spilled oil.

Fit the oil pressure sensor with a new seal.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 lbf ft). |
9. |
Plug in the oil pressure sensor connector. Wipe away any spilled oil.

10. |
Fit the lower engine cover and the cover on the drive belts and lower the car.
|
11. |
Check the oil level. Top up as necessary.
