A personal communication must be sent to the owners of cars already delivered requesting them to get in touch with the nearest Saab garage as soon as possible to have the fault rectified.

Background

Engine damage can arise if the diesel engine is overfilled with oil. In order to avoid overfilling a label has been produced which describes the procedure for checking oil level and topping up. Fit the label as per the following instructions.

Parts required

128 002 56 Label

16-30 15 815 Cleaning agent (sufficient for approx. 100 cars)

Procedure

Check box C3 on the modification identity plate before taking any action. If the box is not marked, continue as follows.


1. Clean the surface where the label is to be located using 30 15 815 Cleaning agent.

2. Fit the label onto the radiator crossmember near to the dipstick.



Marking the modification identity plate

After carrying out the procedures on the cars affected as per MI210-2365, MI232-2370, MI248-2369 and MI410-2372 the modification identity plate must be marked in box C3. If the procedure is carried out by the importer, mark the box with the number "7" and if carried out by the dealer with the number "8".
