The coolant temperature gauge gives the driver information on the engine coolant temperature.
The coolant temperature gauge is powered and controlled by the main instrument panel.
The engine control module continuously sends information on the bus regarding the coolant temperature.
The coolant temperature gauge graduation is divided into 5 fixed break points. The main instrument panel is programmed to control the gauge pointer to the different fixed break points at certain specified temperatures in order to provide a stable display at normal coolant temperatures.
The following break points are programmed in the main instrument panel (factory setting):
