To remove |
1. |
Remove the engine cover.

Remove the bypass pipe with valve, keeping the O-ring from the connection to the turbocharger inlet pipe.

3. |
Unplug the connector from the temperature/pressure sensor on the charge air pipe.
|
4. |
Detach the charge air pipe from the throttle body.
|
5. |
Raise the car.
|
6. |
Detach the charge air pipe from the charge air cooler leaving the clip to hang on the cooler.
|
7. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
8. |
Remove the charge air pipe.
|
9. |
Remove the heat shield over the front exhaust manifold.
|
10. |
Undo the air connection to the secondary air injection valve by pressing together the clip and pulling it back. See illustration.

11. |
Remove the inlet pipe from the front exhaust manifold, 3 bolts, and from the cylinder head, 1 nut.

12. |
Remove the secondary air injection valve from the inlet pipe.

To fit |
2. |
Fit new gaskets and connect the inlet pipe to the front exhaust manifold and cylinder head.

3. |
Connect the air hose to the valve. Check the connection.
|
4. |
Fit the heat shield over the front exhaust manifold.
|
5. |
Fit the charge air pipe.
|
6. |
Raise the car.
|
7. |
Fit the charge air pipe to the charge air cooler with the clip.
|
8. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
9. |
Connect the charge air pipe to the throttle body.
|
10. |
Plug in the connector for the temperature/pressure sensor on the charge air pipe.
|
11. |
Fit the bypass pipe with valve using a new O-ring for the connection to the turbocharger inlet pipe.

12. |
Fit the engine cover.
