Warning

Risk for burn injuries when working on the exhaust pipe.



1. Remove the nuts in the connection to the catalytic converter.


2. Raise the car and remove the lower engine cover.


3. Loosen the joint between the catalytic converter and the front silencer.


4. Remove the lock clips, the front rubber mountings and the catalytic converter.


To fit


1. Clean the joints and fit new rubber mountings if needed.

2. Suspend the catalytic converter in the rubber mountings and fit the lock clips.


3. Fit the catalytic converter against the front silencer and the pipe from the turbocharger. Fit the nuts at the front silencer and tighten.

Tightening torque: 22 Nm (16.5 lbf ft)

4. Fit the lower engine cover and lower the car to the floor.


5. Tighten the catalytic converter to the turbocharger exhaust pipe.


Tightening torque: 25 Nm (19 lbf ft)
