Conditions
The following conditions apply for this DTC:

Diagnosis is active at 2000 rpm and 25 mg fuel.

P0243
DTC is generated if the boost pressure is more than 26.5 kPa above the desired value for 4.5 seconds.

P0244
DTC is generated if the boost pressure is more than 26.5 kPa below the desired value for 4.5 seconds.

Diagnostic help
DTC indicates a mechanical fault in the turbo unit, air leakage between the turbo unit and intake manifold or in the vacuum system. There may also be a fault in the solenoid valve (boost pressure or swirl throttle).
Air leakage between the turbo unit and intake can cause the turbo unit to become damaged very quickly due to overrevving.
