Symptom: CHECK ENGINE lamp on.
Limp home.
Loss of performance.
Cruise control inoperative.

Boost Pressure Control Valve Circuit. Short to Ground.
P0246
Charge Air Control Valve Circuit. Short to B+.
P1246
Boost Pressure Control Valve Circuit. Open Circuit.

Conditions
The following conditions apply for this DTC:

|
P0245:
Boost pressure control valve circuit shorted to ground for more than 0.6 seconds.

|
P0246:
Boost pressure control valve circuit shorted to B+ for more than 0.6 seconds.
|
|
•
|
P1246:
Open circuit to boost pressure control valve circuit for more than 0.6 seconds.

Diagnostic help
The control module continues to govern with a 50% PWM signal. EGR control is deactivated.
