Symptom: CHECK ENGINE lamp on.
Limp home.
Loss of performance.
Pump Camshaft speed has been too high.

The tachometer sensor registers engine speed greater than 3100 rpm.

Diagnostic help
If DTC P0219 has been generated, the engine has been forced to overrev. If only one DTC is generated, it indicates a faulty tachometer.
Fuel cut-off occurs at 5000 rpm.
The engine has been forced to overrev. This may have occurred during wide full throttle acceleration 1-2-3-2 or changing gear 4-1. Overrevving can cause mechanical engine damage.
