Vehicle Speed Circuit Malfunction


Fault symptoms


• CHECK ENGINE lamp on.

• Cruise control inoperative.


Conditions

The following conditions apply for this DTC:


• Vehicle speed from ABS greater than 220 km/h.

• If the vehicle speed is 0 km/h at 30 mg/combustion and the engine speed is above 2700 rpm.

• If the vehicle speed signal is faulty.


Diagnostic help

Check whether there are any DTCs in the ABS system. If so, start fault diagnosis with the ABS system.

Switches off the cruise control for the entire driving cycle, the A/C relay and the distance to empty function.

Note

A fault in the control module female connector can cause a trouble code. Check the contact for a bent pin, oxidation and tightness of pins. See Difficult faults in PSG16 despite trouble code
